Apparently a Barbados planter but clearly travelling frequently to London, where he was in 1837, 1840 and 1845. However, no evidence has been found to date of a census entry, a will or a burial in Britain.

T71/1593 p. 392 letter from the Commissioners of Compensation to Bryan Taylor Young at 3 Myddelton Place Pentonville; T71/1283 Barbados no. 3082 withdrawal of counterclaim by Young in London 29/07/1840; Times 22/10/1845 p. 2 shows him as a member of the provisional committee of the Barbados General Railway at 1 Chester Terrace Regents Park.
