William Woodley Parson b. c. 1774 could theoretically be the son rather than grandson of Edward Parson (d. 1780) of Little Parndon but (a) the heir of Edward Parson (d. 1780) was also named Edward (b) another William Woodley Parson predeceased his father Edward Parson in 1770 (c) the will of Rev. William Woodley Parson identifies his aunt as Lucretia, known to have been a daughter of Edward Parson (d. 1780) of Little Parndon. |

Enslaved boy on Unity Valley Pen, Jamaica. Manumitted in 1795 by David Barclay and removed to Philadelphia, with 29 other freed persons from the estate, where he was placed under the care of Society for Improving the Condition of Free Blacks.
