T71/857: claim by James Johnston, owner-in-fee. Counterclaim by Wm Walker and John [=Thomas? Cf St Ann claim no. 118] Bland, mortgagees as trustees by appointment of the marriage settlement of Robert Johnston and Catherine Cole for £4000 and upwards dated 15th February 1833.
T71/1181: counterclaim shows Wm Walker as late of Newington Row, Liverpool but now of Newport, Rhode Island; Thomas Bland of 43 Bedford Row, gentleman.
T71/50 p. 420: James Johnston registered 154 enslaved persons as owner in 1832.
