Assignment of Mortgage Description: John Duer, esquire; to Tudor Griffiths and John Drew, bankers; all of Chichester, The sugar plantation, known as the Great Plantation, in the island of Antigua; with all the mills, buildings, negroes, etc. Recites original Mortgage, dated 21 & 22 March 1792, between (i) Rowland Duer, esq. (eldest son & heir of Rowland Duer, clerk, of Chichester, who was one of the sons of John Duer, once of Antigua, later of Cover, co. Devon), of Chichester; (ii) the said Griffiths and Drew, with John Chaldecott (creditors of Rowland Duer, sen. & jun.); and (iii) [numerous persons, named]. Date: 7 Sept. 1799.
