Indenture dated 18/07/1812 conveying one moity of Burlington from Anthony Gutzmer of Portland Esquire to James Clayton White (he already owned the other moiety) for £24,500 Jamaican currency. The property included 136 enslaved people (named in the indenture). There were 28 mules and 38 horses and cattle as well as a sugarworks. The subscribing witness was Frances [Francis] Earl of Portland, planter.
