Indentures dated 28/01/1766 & 29/01/1766 and 29/10/1767 and 30/10/1767 whereby John Johnson and his children Godschall and Sarah assigned their 1/3rd share in Folly and Savannah in trust to Edward Warner, for the benefit of John Johnson for life and at his death 1/6th part to Sarah Johnson, and the residue to Godschall Johnson. A year later, Sarah assigned her reversionary interest in 1/6th to Godschall Johnson in exchange for £3000. John Johnson's wife Elizabeth Ann Warner had inherited the one-third interest from her father Col. Edward Warner of Antigua.

By indentures of 7th and 8th May 1773 Edward Byam of Antigua pledged his one moiety in a sugar plantation of 385 acres [called the Folly] and his one moiety of the Savannah plantation and Piccadilly a part of it, 'and all slaves etc etc. belonging thereto' to secure a debt of £5000 from 1771 to [his father-in-law] Stephen Blizard. In 1780, Rebecca and Edward Byam had sold [their moiety in] the plantations to Godschall Johnson [subject to the mortgage (which stood at £5300 in 1787)] for £18,361 1s 5d.

[It is not entirely clear how the 1/3rd of the Johnson family from 1767 and the half owned by Edward Byam were made up to the whole: but Godschall Johnson appears by 1780 to have controlled the whole estate, subject to the mortgage held by the co-heirs of Stephen Blizard.]
