Notes

  1. Original grantee for Barbados Bay division (St George parish) Lots nos. 43 and 44 which became part of Runnemede was Arthur Leare [sic] Piggot; he was still Present Proprietor in 1773. Present Possessor c. 1866 was Hon. Jas. Leith. In 1832 the Owners were 'Heirs of C. Irvine'; the estate was still in cultivation in 1862.

NB Runnemede was also shown under St David nos. 31, 32 and 36, granted to Geo. Glover, Martha Glover and Wm. Forbes respectively; 'Present Possessor Hon. Jas. Leith.' The connection between these (whether one estate or two) to the Runnemede estate of the compensation records has not yet traced.

  1. Daniel Henry Rucker, John Anthony Rucker and Henry John Rucker, each of whom q.v., were mortgagees of the estate of Christopher William Irvine, including property in Bath and the Runnemede estate in Tobago, prior to their bankruptcy.
