1754 - 1830
London merchant, partner with Horatio Clagett as tobacco brokers. His appearance in a dozen claims in Jamaica flowed from the case of Pratt v Willis, to which his executors (including his nephew William Pratt the younger) were party. In turn, this Chancery suit appears linked to the role of William Pratt of America Square as executor under the will of John Willis (proved in 1825). In the case of Fuller's Rest estate he - or his nephew of the same name - appears to have advanced a mortgage to John Willis c. 1825.
