Paul Stevens Samuells, physician in Jamaica, husband of Isabella Samuels née Walker (q.v.) and brother of Eliza W. Hay née Samuels (q.v.).
Paul Stephen [sic] Samuels [sic] of Jamaica who graduated in medicine from Edinburgh University in 1798. Paul Stevens Samuels [sic] M.D. married Isabella, daughter of Rev. William Walker, minister of Collesse, Fife, Scotland, 29/10/1799. They had 2 children baptised in Jamaica: Edward (29/05/1801) and William Finucane (26/08/1802). Magistrate in Westmoreland, Jamaica, in 1839.
Living at Forres Street, Edinburgh, in the census of 1841, age 65, a physician, born in Jamaica, with his wife Isabella age 65, Miss Magdalene Walker age 30, Miss Barbara Walker age 35 and 1 female servant.
Paul Stevens Samuels, age 76, husband of Isabella Walker, was buried in Dean Cemetery in Edinburgh in 1850.
Will of Paul Stevens Samuells, Doctor of Medicine of Edinburgh proved 06/03/1851. He left £6000 to his second son Edward Alexander Samuells.

Letter from Oliverson dated 27/03/1835: Mrs E.W. Hay of Elgin, Scotland, has a mortgage on estate, mortgagors are Mr Paul Steven Samuells and Isabella his wife, Samuells is the brother of Mrs Hay.
