Born 14/02/1810 and baptised 06/08/1813 in St Elizabeth, Jamaica, reputed son of James Daly by Sarah Hart, "a free mulatto".
His mother's father was James Hart, owner of Kippon in Westmoreland and Hampstead in St Elizabeth, who bequeathed Hart's Hall to Sarah Hart and her three sisters.

Merchant, of Black River, when he and his wife Mary had daughters: Alicia Georgiana (born 26/06/34, bapt. 28/08/34, buried 15/03/1835); Bridget Alicia (born 04/07/1835, bapt. 09/08/1835); Valeria Georgiana (born 14/12/1837, bapt. 14/12/1837).
Probably George Daly, storekeeper, Black River, aged about 35, buried 11/10/1851.
