Baptised 24/10/1782 in Hanover, Jamaica, daughter of James and Margaret Ann Findlater. In 1841 Sarah Findlater 'Ind.' aged 60 was living with Annie Roper and a number of younger Ropers at Upper Montague Street, London. In 1851 Sarah Findlater, aged 68 'landed proprietor' born Jamaica was living at Seymour Street Walcot in Bath with sister Annie Roper aged 58 also born Jamaica and two children of Annie Roper (including Findlater Roper aged 30, barrister not practising born Jamaica). Will of Sarah Ann Findlater formerly of the parish of St James in Jamaica and late of 13 Charles Street Bath spinster who died 29/1/1859 proved 8/3/1859 by her niece Margaret Roper, effects under £100.
Probably the daughter of Alexander James Findlater, a magistrate or assistant judge in St James in 1808. Alexander James Findlater of the Island of Jamaica died in Little Stanhope Street, London in 1815.
