Biography

Trustees for the Rev. John Thos. Wilgress and others counterclaimed (under the will of Hamilton Kerby) for the compensation on Weir's and Parry's estates in Antigua, which was paid into the colonial Court of Chancery. Rev. John Thomas Wilgress was the son of Rev. John Wilgress and Elizabeth Kerby, the daughter of Hamilton Kerby. Hamilton Kerby had left £3000 to each of his surviving daughters in 1767: Wilgress's trustees' claim is shown as derived from a legacy of £3000 under that will.
