Awarded the compensation for six enslaved people on Hall's Delight in Clarendon Jamaica.
Daughter of George Rodon (q.v.) and his first wife Grace Waldron Smith, born 22/04/1792 and baptised 22/09/1792 in Clarendon, Jamaica. Inherited a 1/3 share in Moccho plantation in trust in the will of her father who died at some point between 1813 and 1817. Married to William Bryan, she had a son William Pennant Bryan baptised in Clarendon in 1810.
In 1851 an Elizabeth Bryan, widow, aged 58 annuitant born Jamaica was living at Madron Cornwall with her widowed daughter Mary Michell, the head of the household, aged 36 also born Jamaica 'House Proprietor and Fund Holder' and Mary's six children (all born at Ilfracombe in Devon). Death of Elizabeth Bryan was registered Q3 1859 at Penzance Cornwall. Will of Elizabeth Bryan late of Penzance who died 28/09/1859 proved 01/11/1859 by Mary Michell widow the daughter, effects under £100.
In 1841 the family had been living at Ilfracombe Devon: Elizabeth Bryan Independent; Rowland Bryan aged 25; John Michell solicitor aged 35, Mary aged 25 and 2 young daughters.
Deaths : On Wednesday last at No. 2 Penrose terrace, Penzance, Elizabeth Bryan, aged 67, relict of the late William Bryan, Esq., of Clarendon, Jamaica. She left effects under £100.
