Deceased by the time of the 1832 Barbados Slave Register. This is probably Jane Rose Cruden who was buried, aged 68, in St Michael, Barbados, 1 January 1832. She was described in the burial register as 'FM' (Free Mulatto). Jane Rose Cruden the elder was the mother of children with George Cruden of Surinam, including Jane Rose Cruden the younger and Katherine Rose Cruden (both q.v., who also appear in the compensation records for Surinam in 1863).
