Biography

This was Catharine Rose Cruden who married Samuel Jackman Prescod, 15 February 1836 in St Michael, Barbados. She was probably the daughter of Jane Rose Cruden (q.v.)

Catherine Ross [sic] Cruden of Barbados was awarded 6300 guilders for the ownership of 21 enslaved people on Plantation Lon May in Suriname in 1863 (she had originally claimed for 23 enslaved people).
