Dugald Campbell of Saltspring, the elder

Biography

Owner of Saltspring estate in Hanover, Jamaica. Son of Colin Campbell of Atichuan and his wife (first cousin) Elizabeth 'Bessie' Campbell. Moved from Scotland to Jamaica aided by his mother's brother Col. John Campbell of Black River. Died at Saltspring, 27/06/1744. He bequeathed his estate to his eldest son John (1733-1782).
