The compensation for enslaved people on Maverley estate was awarded to George Joad, being: a primary charge on the compensation; the purchase money for 41 enslaved persons; and the principal advanced on a mortgage of 45 enslaved persons etc., totalling £9779 17s 8d.
Jane Kaylett married the London shipping merchant John Charles White 27/10/1814 at Marylebone.
