Father of Rev. Richard Byam, Martha Byam, Maria Sarah Byam, Alicia Julianna Leeves and Edward Samuel Byam (all of whom q.v.), who claimed as his younger children under his will for the compensation for Fitch's Creek on Antigua. Genealogical sources show him born 1753 to Col. William Byam of Byam's in Antigua and dying at Boulogne in 1830. No will has yet been found for him.
