The dates listed below have different categories as denoted by the letters in the brackets following each date. Here is a key to explain those letter codes:

  • SD - Association Start Date
  • SY - Association Start Year
  • EA - Earliest Known Association
  • ED - Association End Date
  • EY - Association End Year
  • LA - Latest Known Association
1820 [EA] - 1820 [LA] → Not known

The Slave Register entry for 1820 might suggest that John Fairbairn was the deceased owner, but this is not consistent with other iterations which show it in the Dawes family, and it might be that as with Waltham he was in fact deceased attorney.

1817 [EA] - → Owner
1820 [EA] - → Previous owner
1817 [EA] - 1820 [LA] → Attorney

The Slave Register entry for 1820 might suggest that John Fairbairn was the deceased owner, but this is not consistent with other iterations which show it in the Home family, and it appears that as with the Tufton Hall estate he was in fact deceased attorney. He was also employed on the estate in 1804 (see Dr Stevenson's letter to George Home, below).
