31st Dec 1775 - 1845
Born 31/12/1775 and baptised 22/06/1776 in St Ann, Jamaica, daughter of William Hall (1731-1794) and his second wife Margaret. Her father was a sugar manufacturer and merchant.
She married Samuel Risby Whitehorne 07/01/1793 in Kingston Jamaica; they had eight children between 1793 and 1814. Her husband drowned in 1816 whilst crossing a river on his way from his estate to the Assembly meeting.
She was named in a slave return for 1817 with 26 enslaved people but later returns were made by her son James Risby Whitehorne; Fanny moved to England, date unknown but possibly before 1820.
Her mother Margaret Hall nee Parker lived in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk after she left Jamaica; Fanny is named as the executrix of her will. Fanny was bequeathed a third of the value of Margaret Hall's house in Northgate Street, Bury St Edmunds, her wearing apparel, gold watch and chains plus a third of her other property and £200.
Letters from F. C. Whitehorne to her daughter Lady Elizabeth Malkin 1832-1836 are in the British Library. Elizabeth Whitehorne married Benjamin Heath Malkin in Bury St Edmunds 11/05/1832.
Fanny died in Bath in 1845, leaving an estate of just over £3,000 and her house Heron Lodge, 17 Bathwick Hill, Bath. She was buried 15/03/1845 at St George's, Bristol.
