Biography

Clergyman, husband of Rebecca Bond (q.v., the niece and co-beneficiary under the wills of Thomas and William Bond, each of whom q.v.), and a party to the Chancery suit of Rutherford v Wilkinson, into which was paid the compensation for the Mona, Spring and Cardiff estates in Jamaica.

  1. 28[th May 1795] [Marriage of] 'Rev. Isaac Robinson to Miss Rebecca Bond of Alderbury [in fact Adderbury] House, niece and co-heiress of Mr W.[illiam] B.[ond] of Park Hill Surrey, an amiable lady, with a fortune of 6000l a year.'

  2. Will of Rev. Isaac Robinson late of Hayton Castle Cumberland but now of Great Shelsley Worcestershire clerk proved 17/04/1819. Under the will he left his real property in England to his nephew Joseph Robinson a Lieutenant in the Royal Navy, and his 'cash, cash notes, money in my bankers hands' and his household effects to his 'dear wife' Rebecca. He made no reference to property in Jamaica.
