???? - 1807
Niece and legatee of both Thomas Bond (q.v.) and William Bond (q.v.), London merchants whose wills were proven in 1791 and 1794 respectively. She was already described as widow at the time of Thomas Bond's will (made in 1790). Party to the Chancery suit of Abraham Watson Rutherford (q.v.) v Sarah Wilkinson, into which were paid the compensation awards for the Mona estate in St Andrew, and the Cardiff and Spring estates in St Thomas-in-the-East. It is not yet clear whether this was a conflictual suit or an administrative one put in place to manage the inheritance of Sarah Wilkinson and her sister Rebecca Bond (q.v., under Rebecca Robinson nee Bond). Abraham Watson Rutherford was a trustee of the will of William Bond and was also appointed a trustee under the marriage settlement of Sarah Wilkinson nee Bond in 1801 on her second marriage, implying an amicable relationship, but Rutherford had been the consignee of the estates and also described himself as owner of half of the Spring estate in his will of 1822.
Will of Sarah Field wife [of John Connor Field, given as John Conner Field] of Adderbury House Oxfordshire [made in 1805] was proved 05/02/1807. Under the will she related her marriage settlement of 1801 [of which William Meyrick of Red Lion Square and Abraham Watson Rutherford were among the trustees]. She left her reversionary interest in the Jamaica property to her husband John Connor Field and then to Charles Somerville, the son of a naval officer Philip Somerville who was also one of her trustees [and who was her brother-in-law, the husband of her husband's sister]. In a codicil Sarah Field requested her husband to provide for the education of Sarah Parker, daughter of Catharine Parker and John Parker, to whom she had left £500 jointly with other children of the Parkers in her original will.
The Victoria County History states that the Adderbury estate was bought by John Connor Field in the early 19th century (although on his marriage to Sarah Wilkinson on 02/05/1801, he was identified as of St Mildred Poultry and she of the parish of Adderbury). Adderbury House was rebuilt by John Connor Field in 1808 after her death. John Connor Field was buried at Leamington 26/12/1831 aged 55: to date no will has been found for him.
