24th Dec 1772 - 28th Sep 1808
Son of William Stirling of Keir and Cawder (1725-1793). Went to Jamaica in 1790. Married Sarah, daughter of Dr Thomas Steel of Steelfield, Jamaica, in 1807. Died at Kingston 28/09/1808 leaving an infant daughter, Helen, who died in London 04/02/1822. His wife later remarried, to Thomas Dunmore, Commissary General, in 1821.
Owned half of Hampden estate in St James, Jamaica at his death.
