Joseph Purcell of Trinidad

Biography

Son of Redmund Purcell the younger, and nephew of Joseph Purcell (q.v.) and first cousin of Bridget Maria Robertson (q.v.). Died 1812 s.p., reportedly leaving the estate to his aunt Bridget Foley, who in turn left it in 1833 to her surviving nephew Richard Patrick Purcell, although the Slave Registers show Richard Purcell as owner from 1828.
