Co-owner of Spring estate in Jamaica.
Will of Rebecca Woolnough widow of Bristol, Gloucestershire proved 27/04/1761. In the will she left her real estate in trust for her daughter Elizabeth, wife of John Hugh Smith, for life, 'to her own and separate use', and then to Elizabeth's children, with Elizabeth having the power to dispose of the property in the absence of such children.
James, Mary and Reb. [sic] Day were listed in the Quit Rent books of 1754 as owning 560 acres in St Andrew, 400 acres in Westmoreland and 300 acres in St Thomas-in-the-East, total 1260 acres. Mary was Rebecca Woolnough's sister.
