Slave-owner in Jamaica, absentee. Nugent sought the removal of Nathaniel Beckford as a Member of the Council in 1804, citing his absence from duty for 7 or 8 years. Beckford reportedly returned the following year and was President of the Council in 1806. Natural son of Alderman William Beckford.
