Son-in-law of John Prettejohn (q.v.) of Barbados, who left his 'slave-property' in Barbados in trust for General Frederick Maitland's wife Charlotte' brother John with contingent remainder to the Maitlands. John Prettejohn had settled £2500 on the Maitlands on their marriage.
