London merchant, partner with Benjamin Shaw (q.v.). They were one of a group of London merchants lending £60,000 in total to Alexander Donaldson in 1803 secured on substantial 'slave-property', mostly mortgages. His will, proved 30/03/1821, was silent on 'slave-property', disposing of personalty and real estate in England among friends and relatives including his partner Benjamin Shaw.
