Biography

Resident slave-owner on Barbados, and probably the Joseph Connell at that time manager of The Thickets who testified in the aftermath of Bussa's Rebellion of 1816, attributing the rising to the discussion for the Slave Registry bill 'as it led the slaves to believe it was measure intended to set them free.'
