Thomas Brailsford

Thomas Brailsford of Barkwith House Lincolnshire, Toft Hall and Toft Grange, husband of the Demerara heiress Anne Brailsford (q.v.), brother-in-law of Arthur Heathcote Heathcote (q.v.), son of Samuel Brailsford of Manchester, and heir of his great uncle Samuel Brailsford of Rowthorne who died c. 1798.

1. Married (1) Anne Shepley in 1815; married (2) Mary Ann Hale after Anne Brailsford's death. Died 14/05/1866. Will of Thomas Brailsford of Toft Grange who died 14/05/1866 proved 27/08/1866, effects under £4000.

2. Living at East Barkwith, Lincolnshire, in 1841, age 41, of independent means, with wife Mary age 35, children Eliza and Samuel, both age 20, 3 other young women, 3 female servants and 2 male servants. At Toft Grange, Horncastle, Lincolnshire, in 1851 and 1861, place of birth given as Manchester, occupation as landed proprietor.
