Partner in Stewart & Westmorland (q.v.). There was a significant divergence in the fortunes Westmorland and his partner Alexander Stewart (q.v.), who died a rich man.
Married Hannah Cheeswright St Mary Islington 10/04/1819. Will of Isaac Westmorland of [Norwood Lane] Dulwich Surrey proved 03/11/1856 [in the short will he left everything to his wife]. Buried South Metropolitan Cemetery (now known as West Norwood Cemetery) aged 68 of Norwood Lane Dulwich 30/04/1856. In 1841 shown as aged 50 living Camberwell Green with wife Hannah 40, children John 17, Mary 15, Frederick 14, Herbert 12, Wilmot 10, Ellen 5, Agnes 3, Isaac 2, Eardley 11 months. He has not been located in the 1851 census when Hannah and their children were listed at 14 Gloucester Gardens, Paddington.
In 1816 an Isaac Westmorland in partnership with James Thomson and Charles Osbourne at Billiter Square London was declared bankrupt.
A son of Isaac Westmorland, Arthur Westmorland, was Fellow and Bursar of Jesus College Cambridge. He was a student there in the census of 1841, age 20, and died at 40 Panton, Street, Cambridge, in 1886 aged 66. At Arthur's baptism 11/03/1820, Isaac Westmorland was described as a gentleman of Tottenham.
Online sources give Isaac as the son of Isaac Westmorland (1755-1824), a tallow chandler and merchant of Wigton in Cumberland and his wife Betty Atkinson (they married in 1782). Isaac, son of Isaac Westmorland and Betty Atkinson, was baptised in Wigton 11/04/1787.
