Nephew and partner of Joseph Timperon (q.v.).
"[Marriage, 27/02/1816] Joseph Dobinson esq. of Upper Harley-street, to Isabella, only dau. of Robert Logan esq. of Egham Lodge."
1861 census shows Joseph Dobinson Landed Proprietor at Egham Lodge aged 71 born Pawesly Cumberland. Died Clifton 1866 (effects under £45,000). Dobinson's wife's half-brother Robert Logan, natural son of her father and a woman of colour named Ann Stitcher, was an early pioneer at Red River Settlement (later Winnipeg).
Executors of Susanne Louise Timperon (d. 09/05/1865) late of Portland Villas The Vineyards, Richmond Surrey widow and relict of John Robert Timperon formerly of Brockenhurst county of Southampton were Francis Dobinson of Egham Lodge and Harry Oliver of 39 Gower Street [which ties together the two sets of Joseph Dobinson claims].
Joseph Dobinson of Egham Lodge, Surrey was described at a merchant in the law record of his son Francis Logan (who was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1847 and called to the bar in 1850). Another secondary source describes him as "a solicitor and Egham magistrate with an office in London".
