Biography

James Reddie of the City of Glasgow, trustee of the children of Anna Cochrane for Shooters Hill in Hanover.

Very likely the James Reddie, advocate of Glasgow, named in the will of his brother Andrew Reddie (written 1815, sworn in Jamaica in 1820). Probably the James Reddie who has an entry in the ODNB as a jurist, born in Dysart in Fife in 1773 and died in 1852.
James Reddie, advocate, age 76, living at 12 Blythswood Square East in the census of 1851 with his daughter Charlotte M. age 36 and four servants.
