1st Jul 1783 - 19th Jun 1850
Given as C. M. Montgomerie in the compensation records, almost certainly Crisp Molineux Montgomerie (1783-1850), brother of Thomas Thomlinson Crisp Molineux (or Molyneux) Montgomerie (q.v), with whom he was an executor of the will of Maria White. Son of George Molyneux Montgomerie and Elizabeth White. He appears to have been the eldest son: he was also the main heir under the trust will of his grandfather Crisp Molineux (q.v.), although his father's will proved in 1804 shows the estates having passed to Thomas, Crisp Molineux Montgomerie's younger brother.
He is described as 'of Dover' in an addition to the text of the memorial window in the church of St John the Baptist Garboldisham, which gives his d.o.b. 01/07/1783 and d.o.d. 19/06/1850. His death was registered at Marylebone Q2 1850.
A letter in the William Henry Fox Talbot correspondence refers to the arrival of Thomas Montgomerie at Garboldisham after the apparent suicide of his brother George, Rector of Garboldisham, and the expected arrival of Crisp and Frederick Montgomerie. A footnote identifies them as Thomas Molyneux Montgomerie (1788-1855), Rev. George Stephen Molyneux Montgomerie (1790-1850), Capt. Crisp Molyneux Montgomerie (1776 sic - 1850) and Frederick Molyneux Montgomerie (1798-1898).
