Awarded with Thomas Scott Reignolds (q.v.), her brother-in-law, a small part of the compensation for the Hyde estate in St Thomas-in-the-Vale Jamaica.
Emma Reignolds was the wife of Robert Gregory Taylor Reignolds, the brother of Thomas Scott Reginolds (and the son of Major Thomas Reignolds who died at Waterloo, and Mary Welch, daughter of Richard Welch of Jamaica).
Emma Absolon, born 22/11/1811 in Lambeth, Surrey, daughter of John Absolon and his wife Elizabeth nee Thew. Living at Bridge Road, Lambeth, for the births of her younger siblings between 1813 and 1821. Married Robert Gregory Taylor Reignolds in St George, Hanover Square, London, 19/06/1835 (both were "of this parish" and the witnesses were John Absolon, presumably her father or possibly her brother, and her sister Elizabeth Amelia Absolon). They had 3 daughters, Catherine Mary (1836-1911), Emma (1841-1908) and Georgina Anne (1843-1892). Living at York Street, Dover, in the census of 1841. Emma and her daughters moved to America in about 1855 and were actresses. Emma was living in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1870; she died there 27/03/1874.
