Biography

Awarded with Emma Reignolds (q.v.) a small part of the compensation for the Hyde estate in St Thomas-in-the-Vale Jamaica.

  1. Son of Thomas Reignolds (who died at Waterloo) and Mary Welch, daughter of Richard Welch Chief Justice of Jamaica. The 'orphan children' of Thomas Reignolds, including Thomas Scott Reignolds, were granted pensions of £45 or £50 per head from 19/06/1815.

  2. Baptism of Thomas Scott Reignolds, son of Thomas and Mary Reignolds, Brighton Sussex 23/04/1809. Thomas Scott Reignolds married Mary Ann Sellick Clifton Gloucestershire 15/07/1859. In 1871 Thomas S Reignolds aged 61 retired Major-General in the Army was living at St Helier, Jersey with his wife Mary A aged 29, son Arthur aged 6, daughter Ernestine 11 months and mother-in-law Mary Sellick annuitant aged 65.
