Awarded the compensation for the enslaved people in two small awards in Barbados, and counterclaimed apparently unsuccessfully in two others.
Henry Sealy married Eliza Jane Thomas in St Thomas, Barbados in 1808. Their children were born in Barbados in the 1810s and 1820s. They lived at 29 Berkeley Square from at least 1841.
Will of Henry Sealy formerly of 29 Berkeley Square Bristol but late of Bitton Gloucestershire who died 10/02/1864 proved 14/04/1864 by Thomas Sealy of Bitton and Rev. William Sealy of Droxford, the sons, effects under £14,000.

For the latter award, T71/1593 p. 44 gives correspondence between the Commissioners and W.A. Culpeper in London dated 07/11/1836 concerning a power of attorney held by Culpeper from 'Mr Henry Sealy of Barbados at present residing in Madeira'. See also T71/1611, unnumbered bundle: letter, not dated, from William Alleyne Culpeper, 36 Cadogan Place, received 06/01/1836, stating: 'Mr Henry Sealy of Barbados at present residing in Madeira having requested me to receive the compensation to which he is intitled'; and T71/1594 p. 146 letter 22/11/1837 to Henry Sealy 29 Berkeley Square concerning the identity of Sarah Rushworth Sealy, for whom Henry Sealy was co-executor with two others in Barbados claim no. 3131.
