Awarded the compensation for 31 enslaved people as owner-in-fee and 105 enslaved people as tenant-for-life on one estate (possibly Sealy Hall) on Barbados with his son William Drake Sealy (q.v.), and as owner-in-fee of the enslaved people on Cliffs estate.
In 1841 Thomas Sealy independent aged 65 born f[oreign] p[arts] was living at 4 Saville Place Clifton with wife Mehetabel aged 65, daughters Margaret 40 and Mary 35 and son Rev. William D. 30. In 1851 Thomas Sealy landed proprietor aged 75 born 'Barbadoes' was again living at 4 Saville Place Clifton with wife Mehetabel aged 74, 2 daughters Margaret and Mary [ages illegible] and a grand-daughter, all born Barbadoes. The death of Mehetabel Sealy was registered Q4 1858 at Clifton: no death date for Thomas Sealy has yet been clearly identified.
Thomas Sealy jun was a subscriber to John Poyer's History of Barbados on 1808.
