Identified as attorney in British Guiana of Thomas Murray of Liverpool merchant 1840.
1881 census shows him as 'Merchant, West India' living at Aigburth Hall Road widower aged 77 with daughters Emma Sophia 34, Ann 32 and Elizabeth 30.
Died 01/08/1888 late of Kingsland, Aigburth Hall-road. No record appears to exist of his probate. He was probably the George Loxdale born Shropshire 1804 who married 23/04/1835 in British Guiana Sarah Bagot (who died 07/02/1857 at Liverpool), the daughter of George Bagot (q.v.).
Gave evidence to the Select Committee on Sugar and Coffee Planting in 1848.
