The will of John Ross, proved 04/09/1835, refers to Granton (see Grenada claim no. 441) and Clark's Court according to the compensation record notes. Counterclaim by 'Vere Fane of Fleet Street London for himself and the Rev. Henry Chaplin of Blankney, Lincoln and the Rev James Ellice of Clothall, Hertfordshire, Mortgagees' for £24,400. The same group also submitted a counterclaim as mortgagees under indres of 23/02/1804 and 24/02/1804 for £24,800.
