The award was split: £800 went to P. Vaughan; £54 12s 2d went to John Smart; then 1/11th (£178 14s 9d) went to each of the 10 'Gray' claimants, except 2/11ths which went to J. R. A. Gray. Frances Gray was awarded the interest on the whole.

Counterclaim from Frances Gray, of Stratton House near Bath (Somerset), as an annuitant for £300, arrears of annuity £900. Counterclaim from John Hornblow Turner, of Clapham Common, London, as mortgagee of 2/11ths for £1673 15s 4d, dated 03/11/1828. 08/11/1836: 'Letter from P.J. Coxe stating that the sum of £75 sterling has been paid to Mrs Gray since the filing of her counterclaim on account of the arrears of her annuity'; 'Letter from Smart & Buller & Agreement of Parties attached to claim'. No other reference to John Smart.
