William Kibblewhite

Biography

  1. William Kibblewhite of The Close, Lydiard Millicent, near Wootton Bassett. Married to Eleanor nee Barrett. According to History of Parliament online, the Kibblewhites lived 'in modest circumstances' although William's son James became an MP and controlled the seat of Wootton Bassett.

  2. Trustee of the marriage settlement of his daughter Lucy Kibblewhite to James Sadler, owner of Weyhill estate in St Mary, Jamaica; William Kibblewhite in 1825 but the remaining trustees received compensation for the enslaved people living on Weyhill.

  3. "Saturday the 8th inst. died at Liddiard, near Wotton-Basset, Mr. W. Kibblewhite, aged 75."
