Eldest son of William Kibblewhite of The Close, Lydiard Millicent, Wiltshire, and his wife Eleanor nee Barrett. Born in 'modest circumstances', solicitor's clerk in Swindon, moved to London where he was admitted as an attorney in 1797. Entered Parliament briefly for Wootton Bassett in 1812, sold his interest to Joseph Pitt in 1813 for £22,000. Deputy Chairman of the Clerical, Medical and General Life Assurance Society 1824-1835, Chairman 1835-1845. Died at West End, Hampstead 03/11/1845. Effects under £60,000.
Party to the marriage settlement of his sister Lucy to James Sadler, owner of Weyhill estate in St Mary, Jamaica. The compensation was awarded to trustees of the marriage settlement.
