Son of John William Delap Wilson (1776-1825, who was the son of Richard Wilson or Willson and Margaret Halliday and grandson of John Halliday of Antigua (q.v.)).
There is a memorial at Milford, Co. Hants to John Delap Wilson, who died 06/01/1866 aged 64 years, also his wife Anne who died 20/01/1836 aged 24. 'He died at Bath and was of Milford house. His father was the President of St Kitts, where he died 1825.' His wife Anne-Smith was the niece of Hon Robert Claxton of St Kitts.
