Born Kingston, Jamaica, 1787, son of Bartholomew Owen Williams and Alice Pierce. Resident in Jamaica, became one of the managers of the Kingston Bank for Savings in 1839.
Born 23/11/1786 and baptised 25/02/1787 in Kingston, the son of Bartholomew Owen Williams and Alice Pierce nee Ibbott.
Lieutenant in the Surrey Regiment of Foot, Kingston, 2nd Batallion (Grenadiers) in 1817 and Captain in the 6th Company (Blacks) in 1824.
Partner of George Watson, whose sister Agnes married Williams' brother John Sutton Williams in 1835.
Bartholomew Williams, Esquire, late merchant of Kingston, died 22/01/1847 aged 60. His monumental inscription in Kingston Cathedral Church includes that of his sister Alice Pierce Williams who died 21/08/1862 aged 63.
Will of Bartholomew Ibbott Williams [of Kingston, Jamaica] [made in 1839 and attested in 1847] proved 26/08/1847. He left £3000 to his wife Adelaide, £100 to each of his three 'reputed brown' children Charles, John and Henry. His residuary heirs were his sisters Hannah Davies wife of Thomas Davies; Alice Pierce Williams; Isabella Sophia Derbyshire wife of James Derbyshire; and Eliza Williams.
