Counterclaim from John Buchan Brodie, Elizabeth his wife, Sarah Shaw and Fanny Shaw by various titles.  Awarded 1/5th to Alexander Hamilton Shaw; 4/5ths to the other claimants. Note in entry: 'Notice of Geo. Shaw for the counterclaimants to A.H. Shaw to appear before the Commissioners, and affidavit of service.'

T71/1593 p. 257: letter dated 29/08/1836 from John B. Brodie, Portobello [Scotland]. Letter dated 22/11/1836 from Brodie stating the devisees of Harriett Campbell were Alexander Hamilton Shaw, John Shaw, Elizabeth Shaw, Sally Shaw, Fanny Shaw.

T71/1606: letter dated 21/09/1838 from W. Maconochie, Montgomery St., Edinburgh asking if Alex Shaw of Jamaica and the children of the late Henrietta[sic] Campbell have any claim to comp.
