T71/856: Michael Kelly claimed as executor and trustee of John Kelly. Claim only for 23 enslaved persons, but a return for 46.

T71/1594  pp. 148-149: letter dated 01/12/1837 to Thomas Kelly of 14 Grafton St, Dublin, stating concern over the number of enslaved persons, and that he needs a London agent.

T71/1606: letter from Thomas Kelly dated 20/11/1835 as heir [brother] and surviving executor of the late William Kelly who died in 1829 as owner of 35 enslaved persons, leaving late John Kelly as acting executor; the said John Kelly possessed himself of enslaved persons, no account of property was sent to Thomas Kelly.

T71/1606: letter from Thomas Kelly dated 27/11/1837 stating he had no reply from his letter of 03/01/1836. Letter from Thomas Keogh on behalf of Thomas Kelly dated 17/12/1839, 'As he is ignorant of the position in which his claim now stands.' William Kelly had left Jamaica in 1829, died in London that same year and had left affairs in Jamaica in hands of John Kelly. 'The amount of this claim [484] has been paid to the Accountant General of the Court of Chancery to abide the decision for the conflicting rights of the parties.'
