T71/1608: letter, dated 28/08/1835, from David Langlands, of Balkemmock near Dundee, Scotland, stating that David Langlands's attorney is John Salmon; he has also an attorney or agent in London; 'the present state of WI property can ill afford laying out any expense which can be saved - I would therefore feel very much obliged for your pointing out the least expensive mode by which I may receive the share falling to me...'.
David Langlands wrote from Balhammoch [?] by Dundee to Wm Kerr in St Ann's re debt due to Mr Langlands from Roseberry plantation 20/9/1827 MS 692/1/106(2) [http://www.angus.gov.uk/history/archives/virtualarchive/catalogues/ms-692.pdf accessed 21/02/2012, which details correspondence especially of John Langlands of Bogardo re mortgage and sale of Roseberry estate to William Mitchell Kerr.
