T71/871: John Gladstone, Messrs. Smith Payne & Smith, Henry Robert [?Robson] Robley and Divie Robertson counterclaimed as mortgagees for £40,000. John Gladstone was also an assignee of certain legacies under the will of Deborah Briscoe, the original proprietor.

 

Jamaica Almanac (1833): Petersville estate belonged to Peter Campbell (deceased).

 

T71/871: compensation money was paid by the Accountant General under order of the Colonial court, 31/03/1836. Westmoreland Claim no. 498, with similar counterclaimants, shows Macfie and McDonald as receivers.
