T71/900: claim from W.H. Prescod, as owner for life, by John Gay Goding, his attorney. William Hinds and John Gay Goding, of Speightstown, Barbados, were trustees to preserve contingent remainders under the will, dated 12/05/1814, of William Prescod (deceased).

David Lambert, White Creole Culture, Politics and Identity during the Age of Abolition (2005), p. 48, shows Kendal's as one of Joshua Steele's improved plantations.

Kathleen Mary Butler, The Economics of Emancipation: Jamaica and Barbados 1823-1843 (Chapel Hill and London, University of North Carolina Press, 1995) p. 85: the author characterises W.H. Prescod's money as going to his 'attorneys and creditors'.
